This is working great for me. It didn’t seem to crease my hair, and it had a tight grip. I normally put it at 450 degrees, which is the highest this goes. It also has a memory function on it, that if you hit that button, it quickly heats it up to 390, which is probably the recommended setting. I have thick, coarse, curly hair, so I really need the higher temp. I put a lot of thermal product on to protect it, and so far this does not seem to be damaging my hair. One feature I really appreciate is that the controls are inside of the handle, so I don’t accidentally hit them and shut the power off. And actually, to shut the power off, you have to hold it down for a few seconds, which is great.
I took a picture of my hair before using the flat-iron, and after 3 passes. Not 3 passes overall, but I made 3 layers, and did one pass on each. It worked well, and it didn’t crease it, nor make it actually look ironed, it still had some body to it. I’m quite satisfied with the results.
10 out of 10 thumbs up
