Almago Electric Nail Grinder for Small/Medium Pets

I just got myself a new pup.  Wow, there is a lot of work to them. He is a wiggler, and my first attempt at trimming his nails was a major fail. I was lucky to just clip the very end millimeter. Probably because I was afraid of getting too deep into the vein. This makes that part simpler. It has a light noise. It freaked him out at first, but after about 3 nails, he calmed down and lay there. I was able to watch as I filed it down, and it went slow enough that I could stop and check how close I was getting. It doesn’t have a lot of power to it, so if you’re just starting out, this is a good option. This would work for cats and small pups. But, a larger animal, or one that just won’t hold still long, you’re going to want something more powerful, they won’t set still that long. Very easy clean up, easy to run and comfortable to hold. It doesn’t vibrate hard and become uncomfortable in your hand. The only thing I didn’t like is, it only turns one way, and I am left handed. So I either had to use my right hand, which was difficult, or I had to hold it backwards in my left hand, also awkward. I wish I could find one that had an option on which way the grinder turned.

Since they specify that this is for smaller pets, I give this 8 out of 10 thumbs up.
